Newcastle United Foundation
Changing lives through the power of football
The Newcastle United Foundation is an independent registered charity supported by Newcastle United Football Club that takes the club into the local community, including right here in Northumberland.
By harnessing the local passion for football the Foundation supports people across the county to access a range of free football coaching and activities. Often working with disadvantaged children, the foundation engages, inspires and motivates them through the power of football.
With a 10-year track record of delivering award- winning, life-changing community projects, the Newcastle United Foundation supports 58,000 individuals each year including 1,300 disabled adults and children, to keep active and learn new skills.
The Foundation has recently received a boost from the council through the North of Tyne Combined Authority with a £2.6m grant to support its ‘NU Futures’ programme, which will see the development of a state-of-the-art facility for young people.
