Meet Claire Hughes, Northumberland's very own world record breaker.
In late 2018, Claire and her team rowed into the world record books crossing the Atlantic in 42 days, 10 hours and 26 minutes - smashing the previous world record for a mixed-fours crossing of the Atlantic by a full 14 days. Claire credits Northumberland as playing a part in her success - after all, who wants to be in a gym when you can be training in our glorious outdoors and along our incredible coastline!
